Prepare Your Colorado Garden For Winter
Keep your yard and garden in top shape with these timely and seasonal gardening tips.
1) Sow vegetable garden.
2) Prepare rose beds for Winter. Till and compost.
3) Don't prune roses. Strip leaves and tie canes.
4) Fertilize lawn with organic fertilizer to stimulate root growth in winter.
5) Transplant new growth into pots for winter use.
6) As weather cools, plant Spring bulbs. Plant tulips late October.
7) Avoid mulching lilies until ground freezes.
8) Till spent annuals, and compost with fallen leaves.
9) Collect seed from perennials and annuals.
10) If rain is little, keep plants irrigated.
