- As I mentioned in last month's report, there just wasn't much support for interest rates to have risen so dramatically in such a short period of time: MORE...

- There isn't anything going on with mortgage interest rates that makes any sense right now.

- Interest rates are on the decline again with support coming from the recent rise in mortgage bonds, and declines in the stock market.

- This week, mortgage interest rates are slip-sliding again, With the latest jobs numbers hitting the streets, we appear to be heading into a downward interest rate trend.

- Short term interest rates are expected to drop as a result of the "sequester", and the coming spending cuts. These spending cuts will affect our economy in numerous ways, most of which will be 'negative' in the short term. Job losses, increased unemployment, and a drop in GDP, will create significant pressure for mortgage bond prices to rise (and interest rates to fall).

- Mortgage interest rates bottomed out in December 2012, and now appear to be headed back-up. Although the upward trend may not be abrupt, pressure continues for interest rates to rise.

- For this past month interest rates have remained flat. There've been some minor fluctuations in rates due to statements by the Federal Reserve. Read more

- Just sold this contemporary ranch home in the Mission Viejo community of South Aurora. The house was a short-sale property, and it took all of 7 months to close. The buyer wasn't sure if it would ever happen, but their patience and perseverance paid off in the end. Thank you to Scott, Donna, and Nick for allowing me to represent you!

- Even though the Fed will continue to buy bonds for the forseeable future, it is not expected that rates will drop any more than slightly.

- Just sold this affordable brick ranch in the Rose Meadows subdivision of Englewood. The property was a pre-estate sale, requiring the seller to provide a statement of authority from their designated representative, via a power-of-attorney. With the home sale now closed, the seller is relieved and very happy. Thank you for allowing me to represent you!

- Mortgage experts are predicting that rates will remain stable throughout the remainder of the year. Read more.

- Just sold - this affordable townhome (short sale) listing in the Embarcadero at Willowridge. The townhome had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and an attached garage. This was probably the most complicated sale short sale listing ever, to sell, but my sellers were very cooperative and that made all the difference in getting the property SOLD. I really appreciate home sellers who help to make good things happen. Thanks Junya and Ayako!

- Interest Rates ticked up from where they were last month, but the rise was not all that significant. The 30-year fixed rate moved up about a 1/4 of a point (at the most), while 15 year rates and ARM's were less affected. Read more.

- Just sold - this beautiful short sale home at Nott's Landing in Thornton. The house had 3 bedrooms, 4 baths, and a finished basement. The best part of the sale was the fact that the sellers were SUPER to work with. I can't say enough about how that makes a short sale happen. Thanks Leslie & Kevin!
