Its easy for us to forget the floods that occurred in Colorado just a few weeks ago now that the weather has normalized.

Very soon, the media will begin focusing elsewhere and on fresh 'new' stories.  When that happens, fewer victims of the floods will get the help and assistance they need.  

FEMA and other government disaster resources will eventually reach their limits, but Colorado flood victims and these tragedies will endure.  This is especially true for those who lost everything, and for the many without flood insurance.

Money is tight for many of us, but if everyone will donate just a few bucks, it will collectively go a long way to helping those in dire need.  Simply text your donation using the official links on the 9 News website.  You can also drop your donation off to the Red Cross at any King Soopers store.
