13 things you can do to keep your home in
top-shape during June
1) Keep the lawn looking great through the summer heat. Keep up the cycle & soak.
2) Fill low areas around house with soil and re-cover or landscape.
3) Clean attic on a cool day or evening. Remove fire hazards.
4) Inspect ventilation fans and roof vents for proper operation.
5) Replace Air Conditioning filter.
6) Turn off power to outside A/C compressor. Hose down fins and remove debris to improve air flow. Replace insulation on condensate lines.
7) Lubricate moving window parts. Annual maintenance will prolong their life.
8) Test automatic garage door reversing mechanism for safety.
9) Inspect wheels & moving parts on garage door tracks.
10) Clean basement window wells.
11) Clean window glass.
12) Scrub decorative stone with a stone cleaner to remove organic leaf stains from winter.
13) Show family members where the main water shut-off valve is located, in case of emergency.
Bonus Tip: Turn your mattress every 3 months (30 days if a king).
