LARGE APPLIANCES - Independence Day week is one of the best times of the year to replace or upgrade your kitchen appliances.  After the 4th of July, your next best opportunity will be in September-October.

GRILLS - after the 4th of July, look for retailers to begin dumping their summer stock of grills and barbeque accessories.  Look for huge sales that'll begin clearing out all these floor space hogs.

HOME DECOR & FURNITURE - not since January have prices been as low.  July marks the second go-round for the huge semi-annual clearance sales.  New merchandise arrives in August, so prices and temps will be hot.

COMPUTERS & LAPTOPS - computers are slashed in July for all the students headed back to school and college.  Prices won't be this low again until Black Friday, so don't wait to get your student (and yourself) a new machine.

KIDS' SCHOOL CLOTHES - this month is the single biggest month of the year for children's clothing sales.  Everyone will have their kids looking smart with the new school year right around the corner now.  Don't wait till August.  Buy early and pick out the nicest stuff before racks get picked over.

PAINT - paint gets marked-down beginning in July.  People will soon have lots of other things on their mind like school and last minute vacations, so paint retailers want to begin dumping their supplies now.

FIREWORKS - fireworks are illegal to shoot-off in most Colorado municipalities, but that doesn't mean you can't buy fireworks and get a deal on them.  There are always retailers hawking fireworks on the fringes outside the city limits or boundaries.  Immediately after the 4th when the circus tents start going down, fireworks dealers are ready to give it away rather than store it.  Go shopping on the 5th, and stock-up for next year.

POTTED FLOWERS - at the beginning of July just before the Independence Holiday, many retail shops and nursuries begin to slash prices on their all of their potted flowers.  If you didn't pick up a nice arrangement for your front porch or for mom on Mothers Day, now's the time to grab them up, for a song.

AIRFARES - with summer beginning to wind down and families focusing on back-to-school plans, airlines will occasionally roll out low fares to fill seats from mid-July to Mid-August.

CELL PHONES - back to school sales with begin late July and it may be the best time of the year to replace or upgrade your cell phone.  Supplies may run out quickly, so jump at the first offers.
