No More Stairs For Karen

My friend Karen has been dealing with back pain for years now.  She and her husband John, decided the
stairs in their two-story home weren’t helping that situation.  They wanted no more stairs (at least not a 2-story house). 

The kids were almost done with high school and soon off to college, so the timing for the move, was good.  Their biggest 'hang-up' though, was John's concern about the Denver economy.  He was uncertain on whether it was a good time to sell?  I explained how Denver's economy hadn't really experienced the volatile ups and downs like so many other cities around the country.  By all reports, Denver is actually poised to recover far better than most other places.  

Karen and John decided the time was right to find their next home, but with no more stairs and all the features they'd been hoping for.  We viewed ranch-style houses for months on-end.  John was becoming worried they wouldn't find the right house.  We kept up the hunt.  Just a few days later, Karen and I saw a new listing that had everything they'd been hoping for, and more.  It was truly one of the nicest ranch-style homes I'd ever shown.  Spectacular views, huge 4-car garage, large covered deck, good price, and minutes to work.

John and Karen bought that house!  We also sold their other home a few weeks later.  Karen is now enjoying the no more stairs lifestyle, without those pains of the ups-and-downs.   A few weeks ago she told me they've been getting to know all the new neighbors, and are even doing "happy hours" on Fridays.
