They're Fighting Over The Same House!

Did you ever know friends or relatives who fought - over buying a particular house?  All kinds of crazy things happen in real estate, and this sort of thing occurs every so often.

A few years back, two very nice gals approached me about helping them find homes. The two lady buyers were  Kim and Julie, sisters. 

Not only did they both want a house, but they wanted to live nearby each other.  Their tastes in features and price range was also pretty similar.  I couldn't help discussing the probability that they’d be searching and plowing the same territory, but that didn't seem to be a concern to them. They were just giddy about getting started and helping each other find the right house. 

Things went smoothly when we started.  Every home we saw appeared to fancy one sister over the other.  After a few weeks we narrowed down the choices.  A really nice property then hit the market.  This house was perfect.  Julie and Kim saw the house together and both fell in love with it, and that's when the fireworks began.  It took awhile for the conflict to end, but they worked through it.  Days later, Julie was a lucky new homeowner. 

Eventually, Kim also found a very nice home, within budget, and not too far from Julie's place.  Fortunately, Julie and Kim couldn’t be happier.  Everything worked out just as planned - yeah right!
