Having trouble with your insurance company over roof damage?  Is your insurance company denying a claim that's a result of hail?  Did they offer you a small check to settle the claim - after you've had several roofing companies say your hail damage is significant?  

If all that sounds familiar, then read this:

Recently, Acumen Contracting Group resolved a couple of hail claims for my clients, that were initially denied by the insurance companies.  The adjusters initially offered very small amounts to settle, but their offers didn't even cover a fraction of the actual hail damages.

This is not an unfamiliar story to many homeowners who've been through this, or who even have policies with many well known insurance companies.  The fight plays out something like this:  A hail storm blows through and your roof and property are pounded.  You call a roofing company who says the roof is badly damaged. 

Next, you contact your insurance company and they send out an adjuster to assess.  The adjuster reviews the damage and downplays (or denies) the damage, or offers a small amount to settle the claim.  They send you a check and you're almost ready to deposit it, but..

STOP!

Think more clearly now - and do not cash that check! Instead, call Acumen Contracting Group to request a free evaluation of the roof. 

After Acumen evaluates your roof, they'll advise you whether to cash the check, or pursue the claim further.  If damage is found, Acumen will take over for you and contact the insurance company on your behalf.  They'll take photos of the damage and request an appointment with a second adjuster.  At this point, the insurance company may also send an independent engineer to evaluate.  Acumen will meet the insurance company representative to examine the claim.  If no satisfactory resolution occurs, they can help take your claim to arbitration, which will result in a final decision.

Acumen Contracting Group has positively resolved claims for a few of my clients.  Most recently, they assisted clients recover over $20k, and the another, $10k.  One claim settled after an engineer's evaluation, and the other after arbitration.  In both cases, the insurance company was being extremely difficult and refused to pay the valid claims.
